Eagle and falcon court at Niederburg Castle
With power and elegance through the air
At the Niederburg in Kranichfeld in the Middle Ilm Valley, visitors can experience the speed of the peregrine falcon, the agility of a strangler falcon, swooping flights with eagles from great heights, and the agility of kites, buzzards and other falcon species. Surprising is the silent flight of the eagle owl close above the heads of the visitors. The falconer Herbert Schütz likes to present his birds and gives a lot of interesting information. A special feature of the eagle and falconry yard is the legendary Andean condor. This giant sea eagle is the largest eagle in the world. Its flight is probably the most impressive attraction in this flight show.
From Tuesday to Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., you can enjoy such a sensational demonstration with various birds of prey. In one of the most interesting falconries in Germany, you will learn a lot of interesting facts about the life and behaviour of these animals.
